after driving for four hours from minneapolis, mn, and smack dab in the middle of wisconsin, sleep came upon us and we attempted to find a hotel for the night. we first tried eau claire and found out that, due to the “country fair,” every hotel was booked solid. they told us to go at least 1.5 hours more before we’d find anything. apparently, the country fair is the country’s fair in that seemingly everyone in the country has come to wisconsin. the next town (tomah) was booked solid as well, but this time due to “the state’s busiest weekend: the tractor pull.” now, i’ve never been to wisconsin before, and all jokes aside, the content from the jokes is still there.
